THE FATBOYS

Who Are The FATBOYS?

The FATBOYS (Fenland All Terrain Boarding Old Young and Stupid) is a team/group of mountainboarding enthusiasts from the fens. With riders from all over the area we come from Peterborough, Stamford, Grantham, Belvoir, Nottingham, Holbeach, Lincoln, and now the Chilterns. There are now probably over 20 of us riding under the name FATBOYS. Formed a few years ago by Po, Phil, Shane, Will and Kat, many others have joined and now we consider ourselves a family almost. Our youngest rider being under 18 and our oldest being nearly 40 it makes sense when you look at our name.
In 2006 many riders riding ability came on in leaps and bounds, Shane got his first podium place, and Jamie had a good overall season reaching the quaters/semis at most of the comps. Many others hurt themselves badly enough to not be able to ride with Dan breaking both arms, Paul suffering from the same injury twice in 6 months and Phil hurting himself enough to now need a break on his board. We go freeriding all over the east coast and down towards the south and are hoping to make trips towards the harsh northlands over the winter too.
Now to be seen in SCUZ magazine 11 and an event near you soon.
Don't hesitate to get on the forum or send an email if you want to get in touch or come riding with us sometime.
Jamie
